ACCORDING TO PLAN

MSI,

Re: why would they be presiding over the economy and domestic politics going down in flames, as well as international conflicts threatening to go nuclear?

Let's get this straight. The word is "nucular". OK, now who gives a rat's patootie about 12 million people in Punjab anyway, not that or present Resident has a clue where Punjab is. Isn't cashmere what Laura likes to wear around the Christmas holidays?

Re Is there a gain to be made there?
Or is it simple misguiding and true incompetence?

I was gratified when watching the end of the Lou Dobb's infotainment tonight when he commented on how much more "on message" the Bushistas were six months ago. He suggests that the Bush mafia has lost its way lately. When an apologist like Dobbs is concerned, I believe we are getting somewhere. Today, in a separate opinion piece, the WSJ has called for F.I.B Director Mueller's head. Or at least his untimely retirement from public service. Which they claim he's not capable of.

Re: I'm missing something.
These guys have all the experience in the world.
Either the world is fatefully just not cooperating with the world's largest superpower, or is there some real reason for this?

Look, relax, we've hit pretty small pothole in the pundit pavement. The country knows Bush is on their side. <w> And the military knows that they're cutting a fat hog this next year, with plenty more like that promised for the millenium. You think things aren't going well for Bush? Look at the cash flow, not the media circus. You'll see, things are still going King Gee's way.....
