<<Does anyone get out of their drug-induced stupor and ask whom are they working so hard for?>>

Themselves, and that's why they are looking at the Germans and seeing a nation of under-achieving basket cases. The rest of your post is a total crock. The free market is re-valuing (i.e., creatively destroying) companies that don't deliver on the dream. That's what freedom is all about-not delivering some kind of guaranteed profit to you whether you earn it or not. Find me even ONE instance where any market force destroyed a useless public agency or forced ONE bureaucratic thief out into the light. THAT's where the drag on the economy is. THAT'S where the firing squads should be deployed.

The Clinton legacy of lies and fraud will take a long time to clean up...

Just another example is Chuck Watson, the OUSTED CEO of Dynergy. Here is a guy that cooks the books, stock loses 80% of its value, employees are fired and he gets...a little drum rolllllllll...$33 million dollars as a going away present....but we must remember as Cyberken points out...Shrub is cleaning up the mess. One must wonder why he(Bush) screwed the landowners(great story about Bush, that his loyal supports want swept under the rug) out of their property so he could build a baseball park and make millions of dollars off a few borrowed dollars that he invested...and now the Cyberkens want us to believe he is the righteous savior of all that is good.

But in all of this greed, I think the recent spate of AMERICAN companies moving off-shore with their domicile is the greatest fraud pulled on the American people. And just why are these CEO's and their hand picked boards allowing this to happen.....well, it seems that most of these CEO's have agreements that allow them to profit off the increase in profits they can show on the books. These companies don't have to sell anymore goods, employ any more workers, but merely show more profits because they don't have to pay any American tax. So for all the loss of taxes to support our economy and Bush's war on terror that he is asking the flock to merely accept, the CEO's of these companies will take in millions of dollars while the working guys merely toils away to keep them living in their mansions.

We never learn from history as to what happens when the greedy money grubbers never get their fill at the trough.
