you know what gets me about this whole california political fiasco is that they think that buying software is like buyiing potatoes, tomatoes, oil, or any other commodity based product. has the press, politicians, and wall street figured out that software is not a commodity and therefore may not apply to a bidding process. did they ever consider that maybe the users like one product over another. did anyone ever mention that the lead auditor is not a democrat? did anyone ever do an independent analysis to determine if the deal was a good one over a the life of the contract because the increase in users will be covered at a lower rate? rocky.
