No need to insult, Elmer. The thing is that many CEOs etc. are lying...and on top of that and worse, stealing from shareholders. So why don't we hear to ranting about Enron? And as share prices fall, we will hear more screaming as shareholders start to ask the tough questions. In case you didn't notice, this is the AMD thread. It would seem appropriate to discuss AMD here. Seems to me that Jerry's lies as you call them are more wishful thinking...than intentional lies. Was it wishful thinking when Jerry told shareholders that there was no Intel microcode in the AMD version of the 486, only to be found a liar in a court of law and AMD ended up paying Intel millions of $$$? Was it wishful thinking when Jerry told shareholders that the yield problems had been fixed on the K6, only to admit months later that they never were and now many lawsuits are still pending as a result? Was it wishful thinking when Jerry told shareholders that AMD's .18u yields were "World Class" and their .13u yields were even better, only to prove unable to ship material many months later? You mentioned several other instances of people predicting the future and turning out to be wrong and you ask if these weren't lies too. But Jerry was describing the present and Jerry knew what he was saying wasn't true as he uttered the words. There's a big difference.
