Luc,

I would say you are 99+% correct in most things. Therefore I find it interesting where you maybe have got it wrong. Your opinion on Claude's outlook has an interesting history. btw I think that is why he piped up, after reading my "adios" search as a lurker. OK some figures to back up my bullish outlook on the miners...

This calculation IS NOT inflation adjusted...

I rest my case. I maybe wrong of course, and quite able to accept the consequences.

Luc:

Delighted to see the ban lifted.

My perspective is that allowing those with diverse points of view (or aggressive tendencies) the opportunity to roam around in this "running gun-battle" arena ensures that the "natural selection process" (threadsters bashing away,.... err.... interacting with each other) will eliminate the unworthy. It may take more time, but it does work. Not to over-extend an analogy, but think of your self as the referee in a hockey game,..... the occasional two minutes for boarding and five minutes for fighting, (rather than game misconducts) keeps an admittedly rough and tumble (but glorious) game from becoming a brawl. Unfortunately, being a referee in such a game does mean that you will receive plenty of cat calls and criticisms from the peanut gallery as well as an occasional "bump" (always accidental of course) from one of the players.
