KT, LTCM bailout was one of the most outrageous bailouts of all. The surprise rate cuts for the benefit of well connected investment banks is also "corporate welfare" to the extreme. The wealth disparity in the 90s grew tremendously yet the media hardly noticed but the 80s was the "decade of greed" . The media should do some more stories of the economic violence of the late 90s. I heard of a case where a guy who spent 20 years in the military lost $70,000 on Enron. It burns me up that this guy was ready to defend the very slime who financially raped him. I would let him and his buddies kick some Andersen and Enron butt. There are no words vulgar enough to condemn such behavior. Mike
