They forgot to get their stories straight

Look for a "clarification" Monday.

Notice how Tenet shed criticism? As rumblings about CIA malfeasance began leading to an investigation, a bunch of documents and individuals are making the FBI the whipping boy... Hmmmmm.

There's plenty of actual blame to go around, and even scapegoating both FBI and CIA by the administration is good, if maybe a few agents with consciences will get pissed enough to return the favor. Unless there are a bunch of witnesses jailed or assassinated, some will come forward with information they have from all sides, and the public will benefit.

What bothers me are the threatening tones we heard from the administration previously, "you better watch what you're saying", "unpatriotic", etc.

Screw those fascists. That's about as un-American as you can get.

I hope that bothers others with evidence of malfeasance or criminality, if any, and they come forward.

It sometimes appears there is no other steward of honest government, except whistleblowers.

Condolezza Rice deserves to be ridiculed for lying to the American public and doing it in such an incredibly "mommy knows best" smirking sort of way.

I've known high school class officers*** who were more competent. And certainly a lot more honest.

[[***Today, they are mayors of a couple mid-sized Midwestern cities. ]]
