One is to think that it is a known fact that putting heavy metals into one's body is a bad idea.

And that that this has been known for centuries. "Antimony" gets its name for what it does- -kills monks (who were engaged in alchemy with antimony compounds). "Mad as a hatter" comes from the fact that mercury was applied to those beaver-pelt top hats that rich financiers wore in the 1800's. The hatters applied the mercury with small brushes. To get a sharper point on the brush, they LICKED it. Whoops!

Heavy metals inhibit or "poison" the action of many enzymes in the body. And for, quite stable compounds with them too, making it hard to get the metal out of the body.

<<my dentist >>

Dentists are getting weird about being paid. Mine, after insurance, charged me $3 too much and kept it on the books for 6 months. The next visit I owed $2 after the insurance and was sent a bill. Paid it the next day and a week later got another bill for the $2. Damn worried about $2.

In '96 I was referred to a dental specialist because I was nearing 50. $108 to tell me I had whatever disease, my teeth would fall out in a year if I didn't have my gums sliced. The computerized x-rays showed nothing but I was pushing 50, that's the symptom. Net search showed I had no symptoms but the SOB wouldn't turn it in to insurance because I didn't go with his program.
