semperfi,

Yes, this occurred when Elgindy, Insidetruth.com and the rest of the gang were bashing (with some justification) EGBT. Being somewhat familiar with the cast of characters involved I propounded the theory that the news about EGBT may not be as serious as Elgindy was contending and the $1.40 share price may have been driven too low and might represent a buying opportunity. After the organized short effort ended, EGBT's share price did go up to about $4/share and is currently near $3/share.

The reason for the post deletion and my 10 day suspension was because, at that time, I genuinely did not know that SI had a policy of not allowing more than two identical posts. I posted it three times.

I wrote to Jeff at SI several times to reinstate my posting privileges because there is nothing in the SI terms of service that specifically prohibits three posts, because it was my first 'offense' and because I did not receive the courtesy of at least a warning.

All to no avail. Jeff seems to take his position of 'website deity' a little too seriously. Honestly, at the time, I wondered if there was more to it than that, but that would only be pure speculation on my part.
