And so India will spend zillions on a project that may or may not work. The subcontinent has the largest number of poor people in the entire world. Take away Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan etc. and what's left of the subcontinent (India) still has the largest number of poor people in the world. It is this extreme poverty that will cause India to implode from within. While from the outside, there may be the occasional low-intensity warfare (against which neither the nuclear bomb nor the nuclear shield is of any use), the extreme poverty within India (aggravated by the colossal spending on defense, of funds that could have otherwise been used for development) will be the catalyst. The harder India tries to shore-up and modernize its defenses against outside elements, the quicker will be the implosion from within.

Plebiscite means pogrom of Pundits. A loss of 140 million on each side of Indo-pak border is the equation - Pakistan won't live to regret it The newscasters regularly call the terrorists as bastards. If this trend continues, the dictionary has to include the new meaning of a bastard as a terrorist of any color, race, ideology, national origin etc. The newscasters wonder aloud why Pakistan does not have a democracy for the 140 million muslims, while the paki Govt. wants a plebiscite in Kashmir. Since the muslims, either the imported, or the paki or the Kashmiri, kill, terrorize and displace the Pundits, how is it fair to hold a plebiscite on a select religious group to the exclusion of the Pundits? Since the muslims are killing off the pundits, plebiscite, independence and self-rule (muslim) will result in pogrom of the pundits and this will result in the massive migration of the pundits into India. The fall out is that the rabid Hindu Parivar will extract its price on the Indian muslims about 10 to 100 times the loss suffered by pundits. No one needs to doubt this outcome. A nuclear strike on India will also result in pogrom of Indian muslims at the hands of the rabid Hindu parivar. The Indian Govt, in case of unthinking of use of nuclear weapons by Pakistan, will dump as many as they can of the nuclear weapons on the Paki nuclear installations and the major cities; the price Pakistan pays will be fairly high; Pakistan as a one nation is doomed at the very moment Pakistan decides to nuke India. What the Pakis do not understand is that India can take many hits amounting to a loss of 140 million Indians, but in equal terms Pakistan cannot suffer a loss of 140 million pakis and hope to exist as a nation.
