Ben- What a great article! Where was it from? If from a UK based source it seems to be signalling a Vodafone defection. It is hard to be sure though since VOD did their best to kill of Globalstar and ignored the orginal CDMA overlay trials in 1998. They also kept the rumor alive that they would force VZ to change to W-CDMA path. But who knows, maybe financial problems make for strange bedfellows. Who else in UK could possibly defect? It is amazing to read this. If any of us had read this article 2 years ago, how many would say with confidence that they would have thought the price of Qualcomm would be at 32 as this time? It seems as if the virtuousity of Qualcomm's accomplishments are everywhere in evidence, and the lack of success of dominant competitors is also everywhere in evidence.
