There is a big difference between an income tax and a intangible personal property tax. Sure, FL doesn't have an income tax but has other ways of extracting money.

In general most people that move here want to get free of the high tax states. New York-New Jersey in particular. The joke is that they expect the same services they got in their high tax state. Some even come here, get into government and end up replicating the state and local government the escaped from.
