Message from Mulla Umar to the Muslims of Palestine

To our Muslim people in Palestine:
"Those to whom the people said, 'Great forces have gathered against you, so fear them!', but it only increased them in their Iman (faith) and they said, 'Allah is sufficient for us and what an excellent Guardian is He!'" [Quran 3:173]
The war against Islam and the Muslims has clearly become a Jewish-Christian one.
The Jews and the Americans have become a single force in their war against us and they have openly unified all their efforts in pursuit of its objectives.
America announced its war on Islam in Afghanistan and began it under the label of a 'War Against Terrorism', despite the opposition of the Muslim peoples to this Crusade, even though some of the governments of the Muslim countries assisted and supported it.
The Jews today have followed the same path by boldly launching a war against our Muslim people in Palestine with every arrogance and without any hesitance or fear.
They have killed women under their banner of 'War Against Terrorism'.
They have orphaned children under their banner of 'War Against Terrorism'.
They have arrested old men under their banner of 'War Against Terrorism'.
They have imprisoned the youth under their banner of 'War Against Terrorism'.
They have pulled down houses under their banner of 'War Against Terrorism'.
They have carried out massacres under their banner of 'War Against Terrorism'.
This is exactly the same thing what America has done, and continues to do, in Afghanistan.
All of this is taking place with American weapons, American money and with the full agreement of American policies.
In reality, the state of the Jews is a part of the Greater United States of America.
For this reason, America will never allow any harm to reach the Jewish state.
After all this, how are the people expected to believe that America is sincere in its 'War Against Terrorism' whilst America itself is engaged in an ugly terrorism via the Jewish state which is committing atrocities against a weak, isolated people.
Are the Jews not the ones who came to Palestine, occupied here and turned out her residents?
Are the Jews not the ones who took the wealth of the Palestinians, violated their honour and destroyed their houses?
How then is it 'terrorism' when one fights in order to remain on one's land, to protect one's honour and to safeguard one's religion?
If the Jews fear slaughter (and they are the ones most greedy for life as Allah said in the Quran [2:96]), then why did they come to Palestine?
Do the Americans really expect us to allow the occupiers to live safely and peacefully, whilst the inhabitants of the land are slaughtered and driven out, and for us not to fight and wage war against those who have stolen our rights?
Has the Jewish-American estimation of our intellects reached such a ridiculous level?
As for our people in Palestine, we say to them,
"Be patient, rely on Allah, do not depend on anyone other than Him and do not expect victory and a conquest from anyone besides Him.
Know that whatever difficulties that America and her allies have sown in our land, it will never divert us from the matter of Palestine and Jerusalem insha-Allah, for the Islamic Ummah is one Ummah, if one part of it is in pain, the other part feels it as well.
We hear the cries for help of our women and the shouts of our patient, Mujahid, girls in Palestine, after they have experienced the harshness of the Jews and the oppression that they carried out in Jenin.
By the Permission of Allah (SWT), these cries will not fall on deaf ears and we will not forget their calls for help until Islam and the Muslims take revenge from these criminals who have spread corruption and mischief in the land.
Our enemies from amongst the Americans and the Jews will be in the losers at the end of the battle for we are firm upon the certainty that Allah will never abandon his believing servants.
Indeed the victory is coming and on that day will the believers rejoice with the victory of Allah and then will those who oppressed realise to which destination they are destined."

Usama Bin Ladin Alive and Well

A statement from Al-Qaida published on the web-site of the Institute for Islamic Studies and Research on 09 April 2002, said that Usama Bin Ladin was alive and well, in good spirits and morale.

Letter from the Base of Jihad (Al-Qaida) to Our Ummah and Our Heroic People in Palestine

Praise be to Allah and all prayers and blessings be upon the mercy sent unto this world, the Prophet of epic wars, Muhammad bin Abdullah (SAWS) and whoever follows him with benevolence until the last Hour.
Allah (SWT) says: "Think not of those who are killed in the Way of Allah as dead. Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, and they have provision. They rejoice in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His Bounty, rejoicing for the sake of those who have not yet joined them, but are left behind (not yet martyred) that on them no fear shall come, nor shall they grieve. They rejoice in a Grace and a Bounty from Allah, and that Allah will not waste the reward of the believers. Those who answered (the Call of) Allah and the Messenger [Muhammad (SAWS)] after being wounded; for those of them who did good deeds and feared Allah, there is a great reward. Those (i.e. believers) unto whom the people (hypocrites) said, 'Verily, the people (pagans) have gathered against you (a great army), therefore, fear them.' But it (only) increased them in Faith, and they said: 'Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).'
So they returned with Grace and Bounty from Allah. No harm touched them; and they followed the good Pleasure of Allah. And Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty. It is only Shaitaan (Satan) that suggests to you the fear of his Auliyaa' [supporters and friends (polytheists, disbelievers)], so fear them not, but fear Me, if you are (true) believers. And let not those grieve you [O Muhammad (SAWS)] who rush with haste to disbelieve; verily, not the least harm will they do to Allah. It is Allah's Will to give them no portion in the Hereafter. For them there is a great torment. Verily, those who purchase disbelief at the price of Faith, not the least harm will they do to Allah. For them, there is a painful torment.
And let not the disbelievers think that Our postponing of their punishment is good for them. We postpone the punishment only so that they may increase in sinfulness. And for them is a disgracing torment. Allah will not leave the believers in the state in which you are now, until He distinguishes the wicked from the good. Nor will Allah disclose to you the secrets of the Ghaib (unseen), but Allah chooses of His Messengers whom He pleases. So believe in Allah and His Messengers. And if you believe and fear Allah, then for you there is a great reward." [Quran 3:169-179]
To begin with, and before mentioning anything else, we assert that Sheikh Usama bin Ladin (may Allah protect him) is safe and that he is in a safe location. He is blessed with good health, prosperity and worthy companions with whom he strives and prepares his next phase. As per the hadith of the Prophet (SAWS): "Whoever does not thank the people does not thank Allah," [Ahmad, Tirmidhi], indeed, the Base (Al-Qaida) sends its thanks and gratitude to whoever has joined it and to whoever walks in its path, either with their lives, wealth, tongues or especially with their supplications. We designate our memory to the tribes of Afghanistan and Pakistan, who have opened their hearts and their actions to us, who also introduced us to their sons and relatives and supplied us with their food, beverages, clothing and shelter, may Allah reward them with good deeds. Indeed, the glory of religion and the blessings of the Hereafter is theirs by helping the Mujahideen and by standing with them. How could they not support us, when the proud imperialist British forces were destroyed on mountain rocks that belong to these tribes?
Dear beloved Ummah, rest your eyes and do not sadden. Indeed, what has happened in Afghanistan is a slip up that will heal soon, with the Permission of Allah (SWT). And know that the sons of Allah's knowledge are still bound to their promise with their swords held up high and with their souls set on their palms, desiring what Allah has to offer, their slogan being: "We have ridden hardships, We have donned resistance. Let us raise a force that will dominate the existence."
O Ummah, indeed, happy are the ones of your children that were chosen by Allah and were martyred by the Crusaders' bombs. Indeed, with the Permission of Allah, each of them will have the reward of two martyrs. Blessed is the one who is covered with a medal on his body (an injury). These wounds will increase his levels (with Allah) and will wipe away his bad deeds. As to the one who is afflicted with capture, seek Allah's Help and we promise that we will work on freeing him and that is a duty on every Muslim that is capable of doing so, be certain of this. As for condolences, they are for the ones who have left the marketplace of martyrdom and who have not been blessed with life under its shadows, hoping to grasp it in another location.
We foretell our Ummah that Allah (SWT) has given us, and whoever is with us, success in planning a Jihad program that corresponds to our present phase and has also given success to the changing and unfolding events. All that has affected us in Afghanistan will not hinder our motion and it will not impact what we have resolved on attaining. Indeed, your sons (O Ummah) are the sons of the Base of Jihad (Al-Qaida). They have prepared and are ready for days like these. No decision will bear upon them, no matter what, until they attain victory or the Eternal Life. "Verily, the home of the Hereafter - that is the life indeed (i.e. the eternal life that will never end), if they but knew." [Qur'an 29:64]
With the realm of this message, we would like to confirm that the declarations made by the American Minister of Defence pertaining to our casualties and losses, indeed 90% of them are sheer allegations and lies. To clear things up, the number of the Mujahideen that confront the Crusaders' invasion is much smaller than what is declared by the Crusaders and this is due to the fact that the current phase is in need of small numbers. However, in their eyes, our small numbers appear to them as very large, due to Almighty Allah's help to us. You should know, O Ummah, that the number of martyrs within the ranks of the Mujahideen - we ask Allah (SWT) to accept them as such and we trust He will give them their due reward - do not amount to a quarter of the total casualties of the Crusaders and the apostates. Indeed, we have killed from both sides (Crusaders and their allies) close to 6,000 since the beginning of the battle and the numbers they have killed from the Mujahideen - thanks to Allah (SWT) - do not even reach a quarter of that amount (1500), out of which a little more than a tenth represent Arab casualties (approximately 150). One has to take into consideration the great differences between our capabilities, preparations, support and arrangements and those or our enemy. Indeed, we are still in the beginning of the battle and infront of us lie ahead rounds and rounds.
