still check add/remove programs for windows updates that can be uninstalled.

our operating systems are different (i'm on win2000 at this moment), but i see that the ie updates are not the same as the updates that are sitting there in add/remove.

and there are 13 hotfixes in add/remove that i could uninstall if i wanted to.

netscape doesn't have anything to do with them.

When I was using 98se, if I remember correctly, quite a few updates at the Windows Update page can be removed by a "show all updates" link and then clicking on an uninstall link. You might also remove the router from the equation just to make sure something hasn't gone wrong with it. Let us know the results.
