Question: If one board apparently supports both the Opteron and 8th Gen Athlon then wouldn't they be using the same socket? And this is a different board than the earlier link you gave (different name and 3 vs 2 DIMM sockets). I like the inclusion of the IEEE-1394 in the AMD 8111. Has Intel added IEEE-1394 to its chipsets or is it sticking with USB 2.0 despite the widespread use of 1394 in consumer digital video?

EDIT: I also like the serial ATA and couldn't find references to 1394 on the i845 and i850 chipsets.

Milo, I'm guessing hammer release is getting pulled in as we speak. No reason to release so much MB info so soon otherwise.
