Bush'o'nomics? The Bush group isn't the only dealer in international oil. But it is the group with the most massive conflicts of interest. Let's see, at $25/bbl that means we're actually paying a factor of 2.6 times that when the safeguarding costs are included. That's 2.6 X $25 = $65 per barrel... Think we can afford some alternative energy, and a bit of efficiency, at that price? The hell of it is, we'd all be better of if we just paid, say $25 billion directly to the oil companies in the middle east, or maybe $5b to Bush Inc. to stop kissing Saudis. It would cost less.
