It is not clear you speak for you when you talk about the pain someone else is feeling one assumes you are speaking for that pain because you really don't make clear it is your pain over someone else's pain and in fact you said you were feeling no pain so if that isn't speaking for someone else I don't know what is logically speaking of course "why, you chose to cause pain to both your friend Poet (former friend!
