Have you ever heard of a cell phone losing its boot block? I don't doubt the technical potential but wonder whether it is a reasonable concern or if the industrial temperature range is appropriate for this product.

Dan3 - It's on the web pages of the two companies - MirrorBit has full reliability, even under temperature extremes, strataflash has to be kept in a (relatively) temperature controlled environment or it loses data.

Exactly as we figured - you do not even know the difference between data sheet specifications and device reliability.
Maybe you should investigate the meanings of the terms that you so liberally misuse.
