Opting out has an additional play. Opting out can help us investors to avoid a bit of the splash damage, even if the currencies do not simply grind downward against each other, but that the USD, instead, collapses in a spiraling collage of colors and smoke.

Opting out is not good strategy if and only if the Dow heads toward 36k, and Nasdaq recovers towards 5k, all without inflation.

I think maybe investment is less about picking stocks (too chancy) than about allocation and timing, perhaps.
