I would ventilate the rooms, but I didn't wear masks or anything. The fumes from oil-based paint and primer didn't bother me for a long time. Then one day, it was like a switch turned in the body, it became intolerable to work with. Ever read the label on a can of oil paint or primer?

"Prolonged exposure to this product will cause nervous system damage and/or brain damage."

It just depends on what "prolonged exposure" means....

I began hiring out the painting and tried sticking with just hanging paper, but that didn't quite work out. The guys I hired couldn't meet my standards, it was time for a career change anyway.
