Elmer- What difference does it make to the board what the internal frequency is of the processor?

If a board will be used with 2Ghz chips, it should be tested with these chips prior to production. I'm not a board designer, but with new CPUs and chipsets, there are lots of things that can go wrong, things like signal integrity, stray capacitance, etc. It's like "don't change process and design at the same time". Which AMD is doing anyway...
