Classic case of public subsidies introducing economic distortions into a business to the ultimate detriment of the industry.

Professional sports has gotten TOTALLY out of hand due to players greed

Your assertion that local taxpayers decide is a little too glib. Sometimes the stadium issue is put before the citizens, sometimes not. Where a plebiscite is held, usually the first, second third time it's brought, citizens vote it down. Backers, energized by the prospect of $millions in personal gain are like Energizer bunnies, while the opponents are gradually worn down.

LOCAL TAXPAYERS. THEY decided, so they wanted a team and willing to pay, whats the bitch.

I would say that Mr. Bush's involvement in this business does not add luster to his resume. Nor does it necessarily make him a scoundrel - as I said, I don't know the specifics of his tenure in the sports entertainment industry.
