Well, that's a lousy excuse. So I guess that even if I am right nothing will be done. I agree. That's why truth doesn't count. Bush knows that.

Also, there are always trade offs. Maybe Texas made the right decision in promoting industry and jobs, rather than hamstringing business, given its particular circumstances.

Texas has decided to promote the oil industry, period. What is your basis for suggesting that there is a trade off, here. Other industries could largely benefit from environmental measures. The canadian government completed a large study on the consequences of Kyoto for the canadian economy. 3 scenarios have been proposed: 2 of them will add to economic growth. All of them will cost the oil industry...
