You got me. I hadn't thought of the technical century, but the last one hundred years. Of course, any mess would be the worst of the 21st century, since there is nothing to compare it to, which is why I made the mistake. I supposed that your point was too inane if you meant the past year and a half (the 21st century started in 2001), and therefore must be using the last one hundred years as a meaningful comparison....
