i agree with you on the rent thing. i still have rentals, and it is hit and miss. i had a tenant in a house for seven straight years, and that tenant finally bought a house and moved out. in just the last six months i have had two different tenants in the house, and they have both only lasted two or three months. the latest one was laid off in april. things seem to have changed in the last few years with renters. it has been hard to find higher quality renters with good or any credit. fnm and fre seem to have helped many of the better renters buy houses. i wonder how long they will be able to keep them.
