Do you think the investment in the St. Lawrence Seaway paid for it's self?

Today, Canada would have had to build 1/2 of a seaway, stopping at the middle of the river (half a lock: smaller ships?), because some American left wing anti-capitalist organization of environmental nutbags would have found 18 species of river-bottom scum who couldn't be relocated without sensitivity training, and couldn't be just killed off because...well...just BECAUSE, you see?

I mean, like, rover-bottom scum have the same rights as people, don't they? And, worldwide, no Aswan Dam, no Suez Canal, no railroads, no power plants, no highways. Yes, it would certainly be a different world...

What's even worse is that Canada no longer rules in hockey. Do you realize that this may be the first decade that the Canadians les Habitants do not win the cup. Where are Le Gros Bill, Maurice Richard, the Pocket Rocket Doug Harvey Guy Lafleur Dickie Moore Doug Harvey Ken Dryden etc etc ?

Has global warming made the unfair advantage that the Canadians had disappear. A rink 2 minutes away ready to bring forth the next star.

Tabernac !!! Pass me a Labatts cinquant
