Re: Damn Congress should legislate it to be a crime for any covert influence on the media by government. That's a nice idea. But the reality is that the Congress has been effectively cowed by the military. The anthrax attack served the purpose quite nicely. It alerted the slow elk in Congress that any dissension would be dealt with severely. The result was a $40 Billion increase in largesse for the monster. Including another $2.4 Billion for the creeps at Fort De-trick who perpetrated the shakedown. Nice work when you can get it, eh?
