The CIA definitely took a Baath on that one. It makes you wonder in US intelligence cycles, are we returning to the era of the 50's where we had economic stagnation and we always lose in our foreign policy, lying all the time to the people? Will Laos, Indochina, China, and other debacles, repeat because the US is unsure of a winning policy? It is the firm hand that retains a grip, the plan that builds the house. Waffling makes bad waffles, stumbling leads to falling. The US must first think, deeply, plan well, operate according to enduring principle, then act cleverly and strongly, not in appearance necessarily, but in purpose unavoidably. EC<:-}
