Hewlett-Packard sees 2H FY 02 revs of $35 bln-$36 bln

BOSTON, June 4 (Reuters) - Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) said on Tuesday that it expects revenues in the second half of fiscal 2002 of $35 billion to $36 billion and then growth of 4 percent to 6 percent in fiscal 2003.

In documents posted on the company's Web site that coincided with an analyst meeting in Boston, Hewlett-Packard also said that it expects revenues to grow 7 percent to 9 percent in fiscal 2004.

HP also said that it sees gross margin in the second half of fiscal 2002 of 25 percent to 26 percent. In fiscal 2003, HP sees gross margin of 25 percent to 26 percent and in fiscal 2004 sees gross margin of 25 percent to 27 percent.

The company also said that it sees operating margin of 3.5 percent to 5 percent in the second half of fiscal 2002.

HP Chief Executive Carly Fiorina also said that she doesn't intend to take an increase in salary until after HP employees get increases. That won't happen until after the company is finished cutting jobs, she said. HP has slated 10,000 job cuts before November 1 and another 5,000 in 2003. She said employee salaries have already been frozen.
