because Qcom needs to go sideways for a whille to reduce overhead resistence. I believe that the low of 24 is in, BUT we wont see above 42 for quite some time.

KDDI... they added as many subs as J-Phone did during the latest month. J-Phone managed 140,000 adds on a boring old PDC network and camera phones. KDDI got its adds from a combination of PDC, CDMA and 1xRTT programs.

so thanks to running three separate standards, KDDI manages the admirable feat of doing exactly what J-Phone does in adds. only when KDDI started the whole standard juggling, it was far larger than J-Phone. plenty of fuss for the privilege of treading water.
