The Arabs have a saying "show your enemy your gold, and your sword too."

I used to say I could find gold within 20 miles of any town in the US or Canada. I would say for sure I could find it by sundown with a vehicle. Some people would be amazed at this and ask if I could really find gold near New York, Vancouver, Montreal, Los Angeles, Seattle, or some other State or Provincial capital. I will not say I could find loads, but its nearly always there nearby. In fact I can think of no area in the US or Canada that I would completely rule out as being so barren of the metal that you could not find some evidence of it above nominal quantities in some wash or vein. You can find gold all over Europe too. Switzerland, Czechoslovakia, Poland, England, Germany, Italy, Greece and Spain. Gold is even mined commercially in rivers in Switzerland and semi-commercially in Scotland!

Name any city in the States or Canada and I will research it. I will bet that you don't come up empty. (Banks don't count.)
