Dollar mixed, gold up

LONDON (AP) -- The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Tuesday. Gold rose.

The euro was quoted at $0.9431, up from $0.9377 Monday.

Other dollar rates:

--123.87 Japanese yen, up from 123.74

--1.5577 Swiss francs, down from 1.5651

--1.5275 Canadian dollars, down from 1.5276

The British pound was quoted at $1.4622, up from $1.4611.

Markets in London were closed for a national holiday. In Zurich, the bid price for gold was $328.65, up from $327.05.

Gold rose $2.10 in Hong Kong to close at $329.55.
