retreat from US cash here comes later, into gold hunt

I expect at least two major banks to succumb to bankruptcy
and a few regional (gambling) banks
cases in point:
PNCBank in Pittsburgh had big derivative losses
so did BankOne a couple of year ago
I believe FirstUnion did also

I expect a mild run on certain banks later on
like next year or 2004
by then NOBODY but NOBODY will deny the fundamental reasons behind the pursuit of GOLD

it will be lost trust in currency internationally
(not just the dollar)
lost trust in banks domestically
with rising questions about where money is safe?

answer: nowhere with an unbacked dollar
not while huge federal deficits and trade gaps exist
nowhere

does anyone connect the dots???
1997: Asian Meltdown
1998: Russian Default and LongTermCapMgmt failure
2000: US Nazdaq collapse
2001,02: US Liquidation and Bankruptcies
