I'd consider a sensible energy policy to be one that focused a large amount of our spending on non oil sources of energy rather than more exploration. That's not likely to happen any time soon though. Sure would alter the global political situation to be able to make a really significant reduction in our oil dependance. The value of that independence is huge, and I don't think we're going to go out and drill our way to independence.

I'm looking at oil service longs due to an over all improvement in the world economy over the next couple years.
