Sam, I'm simply keeping track of different types of AMAT plays for different family purposes. For example, at this moment, "we" are holding 3500 shares of AMAT long, and "I" am daytrading 3500 shares of AMAT short... "we" are long-term bullish, and "I" am short-term bearish, "we" are investing, and "I" am gambling... "we" are more cautious, and "I" am more aggressive... "we" make decisions together, and "I" throw the dice at a moment's notice. So, while it may appear to be a net zero position, the bottom line is that "we" are up in our long position a grand or two, and "I" am down in my trading account a grand or two. Did that make any sense??
