I'd say read the New Scientist. You gotta be ready to change your view 180 degrees all the time. Over time you get a feeling for what's going on.

newscientist.com

I think there are some climate changes on the go (man made or natural...doesn't matter). Those will play hell with the normal market imho.

<I have serious reservations about the science ... scientists are not pure. They all have agendas.>

Agneda?? Didn't the white houses own group find it irrefutable that global warming is taking place??? I would think they would push as hard as possible to find the opposite.

tip, I agree with what you say. However, my point is that a President or CEO or General or whatever hires experts in several fields to study things. For them to simply slough off the results of those studies without having other experts present their evidence is silly and makes you wonder why he spent the money in the first place.

The global warming story may be controversial. The hole in the Ozone is less controversial: VO5 hair spray caused it. <g> And growing pollution and the death of species are pretty non-controversial, though I did like the right wing counter-argument that cattle flatulence caused the rise in methane gases. <g>

Tip:

Have a look at what ONE major volcano produces in a week and compare that to what all of mankind can produce in a year. Brings reality clearly into focus.
