That's a polite way to say I'm old but then I admit it. On a day to day basis with no internet I spent my time playing pong cause there were only so many things you could do with a Sinclair computer. By 80 I had graduated to Pac Man. Very few watched the tape and decisions were made on a month to month basis when you got your statement. Probably why I'm not a nervous nellie. Played silver that time, all you had to do was believe and take what you could get. Same as today, hardly anyone believes in PM's and nobody believed the Hunt's were really trying to corner the market. It was in the news, as long as you had an exit strategy in case they failed and you weren't too greedy. So while we're talking about it, that hoard still exists, but I don't think it will ever be dumped, just as I don't think Buffet would dump his hoard, rather sell all the way up. That way, I would say I'm hoping for the best, in that the bull has legs and will have for some time with many small steps and not too many giant ones.

Last March and on when I started posting my trades on Cush's thread, the other posts I made on the GPM were always about the backwardation of lease rates, and their return to normal sequence. That was what, 8 Fed rate cuts ago? A spike in lease rates, and how they spike might be an indicator now, but my guess is it would be a lagging indicator. If rates go up and lease rates don't follow, the carry trade will be back. The only other thing is that it was the lease rates that got me to look back to Dec 00 XAU to see that and POG bottom and got me back into the market.

Regards

Bob
