Hi Maurice, welcome back, if only to hear me say, "you are wrong" again, because life expectancy has little to do with material wealth, and naught to do with politics.

Long life happens in environment of simplicity, with no politics ... apparently

<Harold Varmus, president of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, cited the huge discrepancy of life expectancy between the five richest and five poorest countries as "one of the greatest disappointments in biological sciences in the 20th century." >
Life expectancy in the five poorest countries is the greatest disappointment of political systems and has nothing whatsoever to do with biological sciences.

Until enough people in those poor countries understand why the rich countries are rich, they are doomed to impoverished lives.

No, the poor people in poor countries undoubtedly have a much better understanding of economic reality than the Harold Varmus's of the world, whose economic misconceptions are so faulty, and whose influence is so great, that they are the primary reason why the poor will remain poor.

Regards, Don
