Dipy, are you making this up, some sort of a armchair orgy of fantasy. I live there part time, I live in other places across the globe also. And I don't see what you say. Its per capita is significantly higher than Pakistan's.

Who ever has said that a democratically elected govt. "always" does what the people expect it to do. I think right now there is a good deal of disappointment with the Bush administartaion similar to what happened to his father.

I have seen you reminiscing about the "fallen British Empire". I hate to say this during the Queen's 50th celebration but even the British royal family has fallen into a sense of ill repute with all the royal divorces, and accusations of a plot to get rid of Diana, the Camilla controversy etc. Yes indeed there was a time "when the Sun did not set on the British Empire" And you know why? Simple. EVEN GOD DID NOT TRUST THE BRITISH IN THE DARK.
