teen norms are hard to identify, for sure, Gramps
I have known dozens of kids who are children of friends
mostly in Boston area
few have any ambition
many are into drugs at a far earlier age than in my generation
I was a teen in the 60's, and just turned 50 yrs old last week

I dont pay much attention to slang, clothes, manner
I watch serious departures from the past, real stuff, like...

some disturbing NORM trends
piercing, tattoos, colored hair, black clothing colors
music preferences tend to be Heavy Metal (noise) or Rap (anger put to a beat)
a real draw toward the Satanic side
suicide rate is 3-4x what it was in my era
then you have weapons (guns, knifes) in highschools
and rape/ assaults in high schools
let's not forget that math has two years required
and languages perhaps 1-2 years
total ignorance of the rest of the world, even geography
illiteracy among high school graduates is rising !!!

sure, KlappyNoBrainTrap
this younger generation has its shit together
world leaders in the making
