(OTCBB:BEVS - News) today said that more than 700 triathletes participated in the first of leg of the inaugural Life O2 Triathlon Trilogy at Key Biscayne, Florida this past weekend. The Company said five Team Life O2 Elite Athletes placed in the top ten in their respective age categories. The course features a quarter-mile swim, 10-mile bike and 3-mile run. Boris Fernandez was the events overall winner. Team Life O2 Elite Athlete, Florida Atlantic-Bound Manuel Huerta of Miami, last year's national sprint junior champion and ranked No. 2 in the nation among juniors, won in his age group. "A triathlon is the perfect venue to showcase Life O2 SuperOxygenated Water," said Michelle Tatum, director of corporate communications for BEVsystems International, Inc. "Triathletes understand the unique benefits of our product and how it can aid their performance over the grueling rigors of a triathlon course."
