I'm not familiar with that gem, but I do know some of her other poetry.

When I was living in NY I was friends (platonic, of course) with a woman who had worked with Parker. She said she was even bitchier in person than by reputation, if that's possible.

The one you chose is much like you, but this may be even more so:

They say of me, and so they should,
It's doubtful if I come to good.
I see acquaintances and friends
Accumulating dividends,
And making enviable names
In science, art, and parlor games.
But I, despite expert advice,
Keep doing things I think are nice,
And though to good I never come-
Inseparable my nose and thumb!
