Ate berries, grapes and small watermelons. When hot I'd lay down under a huge elm next to the Lillies of the Valley. Played Parchiese sp with a retired school marm who got married when she was 60. Hit golf balls with her husband. Walked about a mile to an iron bridge and caught some fish. Cleaned and cooked and ate them. Took a lot to make a meal though. I remember one of the older guys who drownded in the swimming pond. That was an experience. My dad was standing next to me when they drug him out. All blue, my dad didn't say anything so I swam there the next day.
