Ok, but only your immediate family can get passage. What
we found a few years ago, was that it was unsafe to allow Eastern Europeans to immigrate and then bring their family over. About 1890 the government relaxed its ban and let one Ukrainian into the country, by the name of Bill Danovich. He wrote a letter to the government and said he was lonely and could only speak one language, could he bring over his cousins from Bratislavia, who were professors? So they relented. What harm could it do? A few years later, they went to check on the family and they found that they had filled up three provinces. And everybody was driving a tractor. They even drove tractors to church. Bill was still around so they went to talk to him. "I had a lot of cousins" he said. "So these guys are all professors?", they asked. "Well in the Ukraine, when a farmer can read the tractor manual, he is called professor" was Bill's reply.

This is the true story of how they populated Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Don't believe what you read in the books. If you look at the people closely you will notice that they all look the same. About 5 foot 8, blonde hair. Well if you saw Bill, you would laugh. At least he never had a shortage of people he could borrow money off. And then there is the story of the First Ukranian Bank of Canada. It had operated since the turn of the century at the same location, (Prairie Dog Breath, Sk.) and only moved just recently. It was finally realized that they needed a larger porcelain pig.
