That's what the xrays and MRI showed in my neck...

degenerative discs and bone spurs.... Meds took the inflamation down and wore a collar for a couple of weeks....and now for part of each day....or when it hurts...seems to keep the pain somewhat at bay....

<<I've heard horror stories about chiropractors ruining people for life.>>

The good ones take x-rays first.

My oldest son was in a car wreck the last day of this senior year in High School. His truck seat bolts were sheared off by the force of the impact, his suffered spine as well as closed head injuries. There really wasn't anything left of the truck except the occupants and an igloo cooler of water baloons.

The emergency room doctor said his back wasn't broken but it had shifted in places. He suggested months of physical therapy and a good chiropractor. Both worked wonders. The myth that once you see a chiropractor you always have to go back for the rest of your life is just that....a myth.

My son's back is fine and he hasn't had to get an "adjustment" in over a year.
