IMO, Islamic Jihad should seize the high ground and declare a unilateral cease fire. I don't think they even understand the concept of a cease fire. They couldn't comprehend the usefulness of such a strategy. If they used their heads instead of violence they might be able to reach their goal. A weak party trying to use violence to bring down a stronger party is futile ... yet they keep using the same strategy of suicide bombings. Lola:)

I think they should coordinate with Hamas, Hezbollah and Al-Aqsa etc. and use their power to enforce their side of the cease fire. Murders don`t call cease fires. Most of the leaders of these terrorists have sworn in the name of Allah to keep murdering until Israel is driven into the sea. Then many would see Israel as the aggressor if the incursions continue So your reasoning is not about peace but political leverage. Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Hezbollah etc., must give Chairman Arafat a chance to start down the path of peace before he leaves. Arafat leaving or dieing would be a good thing. Let the Megiddo bomb be the last Martyrdom operation, the young Palestinians will be needed for the rebuilding. You mean last murder operation don`t ya? Terrorist leaders don`t care about "young palestinians" they just see them as cannon fodder. You don`t see any hamas leaders becoming suicide bombers now do you? <i.I hope that Israel will be able to control their outrage, and not do the bidding for the militant groups by removing Chairman Arafat. I hope Israel kills Arafat dead. Only when the terroist leaders know their life is at risk will any progress be made.
