4rth, we had no problem providing the same guy with the satellite logistics to gas Iranians. Nobody said a word at the time, as it was in our national interest to keep those two countries at each other and as a buffer against eachother.

There is no black and white in the world of politics, only shades of gray. We aspire to the black or the white, but those in power know that in many instances, we can only achieve the best shade of gray possible.

Countries don't have friends or enemies. They only have interests.

We are a proponent of Democracy, unless the wrong person gets elected. There are scores of examples of that. Elect an extemist by a democratic process, and we still have a problem.

What would you call Stalin? If this were 1946, would you have advocated taking him out militarily? He did slaughter his own people and was developing a nuclear capability, the criteria you cite for taking out a dictator.

I might add that Stalin was our good buddy in 1945. What changed? Our interests.

how can you equate...

"Tin soldiers and Nixon coming,
We're finally on our own,
This summer I hear the drumming,
Four dead in Ohio..."
