Bad decision, Dealer.

JW is a little caustic and repetitive at times, but we are all adults here and the IGNORE button works well for anyone that doesn't want to see his stuff.

You may not like his style, but Jim is very smart and his stuff is well reasoned. He is entertaining as hell, you are thinking very small here, Deals. Back up, reinstate JW. No one needs you to protect them from Jim.

Scott

Hopefully this wasn't the post that got JW banned:

Message 17559931

If it is, then it's a mistake.

Ya see, JW and I often make crude remarks like these in our PM's to each other.
It's done so in some sort of weird joking manner.

I'll write some sort of thought or question to him and sign off with an insult that would not be appropriate for a thread.

It's sort of an "R" rated sign off.

I believe he was just using this sort of sarcastic tone and knew it would not bother me.

For example, I often tell Jimmy that he's a pencil necked geek, the king of all a-holes, a soulless, twisted, freak of nature, etc.

These insults usually follows an acknowledgement of respect, just so his ego doesn't get a chance to over inflate.

I tell him to eat me sideways on a regular basis.

Occasionally you'll see it accidentally dragged over to the porch where others might think we are bickering with each other. We aren't.

Anyhow, I think what I always enjoyed about the porch has been it's wide variety of characters and the ability to rub each other in the wrong way and feel comfortable enough to tell the person he/she is wrong.

Westy and I battle often. But I luv the dude.
From the friction I learn a lot. Pushes me to research stuff more than I'd normally care to.

Sure frustration mounts and angry words fly.
But it's all just a bunch of words.
I don't think a word can really hurt anyone.

Sure Jimmy goes overboard with the doom and gloom, but everyone goes overboard in some form or manner.

RR is always nice and always has a good attitude.
This drives me crazy. How can a person always be so positive? (I'm just kiddin' RR) <vbg> <sarcasm> It's my favorite trait of yours.

JW's negativity helps RR's positive outlook shine even brighter.

Scott always has a news story for us. There's more news than I can ever handle but there is something for everyone.
He also seems to post the articles to people he thinks might find interest in them.

Dealie provides southern charm and sort of a motherly role. She also used to provide quotes. They were only of tech stock companies that the Gorrilla Gamers used to like.
People who like other sectors didn't get what they wanted.
But it might push them to look things up and post it here.

Westy gives us lots of facts and up to the second news info relating to the market. (He's also started telling us more interesting stuff about himself.)

Polvie provides humor and thoughts that help make the conservative right wingers think. Or at least lets people know it's OK to be open minded. (Jus' funnin')
He also counter-balances JW.

Volty pounds the table for his stocks that he likes but forgets to say hi to the rest of the friends on his porch.
(He should be banned if he does not say Hi and write something nice to RR, Westy, Scott Mantz, Polvo, Murrey, ScottNewsman, Dealie, and all of his other ol' time porcher friends.) <g> <ng>
We've always enjoyed his opinions and outlook on things.
Now he doesn't like to share them other than to say that TYC is going up and gold is going down.
(And he never finished telling me what vitamins and minerals he likes...)
Maybe he doesn't feel comfortable on his own porch.
He should. We all like him.

Murrey provides humor, photos, and keeps JW in check.

Mantz provides us with a conscience to help others who need it more than us. He also helps us to feel good by showing us how we helped.

Everyone sort of contributes in a way that is unique to themselves. Each person's opinion helps balance another.
(I know I left a lot of you out but I have to get to work. I'm running very late.)

JW puts a lot of effort into each thing he writes.
I learn a lot from the dude and know not to get too carried away with anything that anyone writes.

I'm not sure who is afraid to tell JW to go eff himself.
He could take it.
No one should be afraid of the dude.

Banning him seems to hurt this thread more than help it.

Consider it a cocktail party with people talking about a lot of different stuff. It's easy to filter out the noise that you don't want and then focus on the sounds you do like.

I'm not sure the banning represents the majority of those who read the porch.

JMHO. Not taking sides on who's wrong or right.

Being the moderator puts you in a tough spot Dealie.
Hope I didn't make it tougher.

Luv ya.

Censorship is WRONG.

If the fringes are not protected the center is vulnerable.

The demise of the porch has accelerated beyond redemption.

Soon you will be alone.

Then you won't be.

Dealie:
Please dont do this to Jim Wooley. Please reinstate him.
Thanks. Even though I dont agree with him most times, he does make some interesting points to think about.

...hard for some of JW fans...

Oh Dealie.... I'm crying so hard, I'm laughing...
Looks like I'll have to keep Homer Simpson as my Idol...
