Ramblings:

Increased spending for homeland security. well we need it or else there will be more sucessful bombings

Budget goes from a 300B surplus to 112B deficit. Well I guess the bond market luvs this one

The Mid East situation. I'm radical here but if the Palestineans want to keep bombing, Israel should push them out of the west bank. As far as I know wars don't end until either both are bloodied into submission or one side is and the other doesn't want to analiate the loser.

TYC and continued accouting issues Amazing how weak boards are. The solution is with the boards, not new regulations

Preannouncements have started. Ouch, INTC means many others PC realted, its not like Earlie didn't warn us

GE back to its Sept low and market sentiment is still too bullish Hey I think sentiment is starting to turn

IBM on its way to 50. I can hear the blame now. Its Bush's fault. Wait did't they say that when JDSU was cratering on his inaugeration. A bubble is a bubble

On the $$ isn't the major drag trade imbalance? Oil is the #1 import. We have a gasoline surplus this year due to the mild winter and early switchover from heating oil to gas. connet the dots. the environmentalist win again but at what cost to the economy

OK JP I'll let you post some items to be positive about that are giving your friends hope for a rebound. I figure we get one but as Zeev taught me not until we have a good vomitt (his term is wait for the whites of the MM eyes).

Scary looking quarterly chart of the INDU:

bigcharts.marketwatch.com

We're looking to move towards 12,000 or 8,000 on the DOW, I think the latter...

And the stock that will likely eventually lead us there is MSFT (especially after INTC's recent downgrades):
