Frank, from your post:

>>>"Seems the more we learn, the ones with the best prior knowledge are the FBI and CIA themselves!"<<<

Well, every day this seems more and more true.

However, don't forget Elgindy had solid FBI connections, one of whom actually quit his FBI job, with contacts intact, and actually was working with him. Throw in a few parties with other partying fedsters together with some loose drinks and who knows what got discussed when, where, why and how.

Mayhaps the prosecutor brought forth the 9/11 foreknowledge hint because the FBI did know that intensive terrorist activity was around the corner, Elgindy was so-connected and perhaps he lined up his short positions accordingly firm in the belief the market would drop 6,000 points. That's a heavy drop, non-gradual type drop wouldn't you say?

We don't know what happened. But I'll write again, one can't deny that the mo-mo for the dialogue rests with the information which brought forth the charges and that it's extremely difficult to defend what's unknown.
